It Is Back....That Sewing Mojo

Recently, I have had inflammation throughout my entire body. My body hurts so much that I could not think about sewing.

All I wanted to do was just RICE (rest, ice, compression, and evaluation) for the past six days.

Well, it worked out great for me because I have my sewing mojo back.

I enter my craft room refreshed from several days of much needed rest.

On my way into Walmart, I noticed that the strap of my backpack was barely hanging on. One quick pull, it was going to snap!

I had a decision to make.

Option 1: I could purchase a new purse backpack. or

Option 2: I could make my own.

Can anyone guess which option I chose?

If you guessed option two make it myself, you guessed correctly.

Currently, I am making my purse backpack, and I am having a great time.

I did not know how relaxing it can be to make my purse.

I am looking forward to showing the finished product.

Please stay tuned for more...

Change It Up A Little

If you know me, I do not mind changing it up a little from my loc color and hairstyle to my clothing.

As a wife, homeschool Mama, YouTube content creator, Podcaster, and sewist, I do not always have an opportunity to sew my clothing.

This happens for several reasons, my two major reasons are procrastination and assuming that I can sew faster than I can.

Today, I am wearing two pairs of my Mama's hoop earrings that I inherited after her death.

To change my earrings up a little, I decided to add pink  and white beads to tie it all in together. The white beads incorporate the white in my elephant 🐘 pants.

I wanted to wear a thrifted pair of pants with elephant prints on them from Goodwill Second Edition in Charlotte North Carolina,  with a pink camisole to give it a pop of color. Thank you husband for the pop of color suggestion, I do appreciate it.

Top: it is a ready to wear purchased several years ago from Old Navy.

To accent the pink, I decided to add my thrifted and gifted pink necklace from my  Fashionista sister-in-law Kesha the Stylist @Keshathestylist on TikTok.

Wait, I cannot forgot the shoes! To add a little more pink, I had to add the shoes. My husband purchased for me from Amazon.

This is my first attempt at accessories and adding beads to earrings to incorporate everything that I am wearing today.

I am extremely proud of myself!

Pat on the back for me, I say step out of your comfort zone and try something different.

You never know what can happen.
